Our Wedding

My husband Larry and I celebrated 5 wonderful years of marriage on Feb 14.
He retired from teaching in June 08 after 35 years in Secondary Education. He taught Math and Computers and was the Computer District coordinator for Moniteau School District in West Sunbury for 34 years, and taught for 1 year in Kent County Maryland.
He is enjoying retirement working around the house, spending time with his grandchildren and observing wildlife.

When I’m not cooking or trying recipes I’m a substitute teacher in Secondary Education. My certification is in Social Studies 7-12, but I sub in all areas. I work in the Butler, Armstrong, Moniteau, Mars, and Freeport School Districts.

When we married I became a step-mom, and step-grandmother. I have a step-son James who is 17 years old and attends South Butler High School, he is a member of KDA and loves to ski and is avid hunter who does very well at both.  I also have a second step-son Nick recently married Melanie Nemcek a wonderful young lady also from Butler.  They presently live in Orlando.

I also have a step-daughter (Heather) who is married (Shamus) and has 3 beautiful children (Rachel 11, Esther 9 and Issac 7). Heather put together this website for me and designed the “Local Flavor” logo for me. She is an artist and is busy designing websites and drawing and painting. She has her own site if you would like to check it out.

My parents still live in Eau Claire, Thomas and Bonnie Costa, they are retired and spend time gardening and spending time with their children and grandchildren and remain active in their church.

I have an older brother John and his wife Pam, who are celebrating 25 years of marriage this year. They have two children Kristi and Joey. Kristi just completed an Associate Degree at BC3 and Joey is graduating from Moniteau this year.

My younger sister Tammy is married to Denny they both work at the Underground in Boyers. They have two sons Anthony and Alex who both are involved with hockey.

Before life got so busy we used to get together at Mom and Dads for dinner on Sundays, but it’s hard to get everyone together all the time. I’ve always enjoyed big family dinners. So hopefully the summer will allow for more get togethers.
